Find Your Way Around Settings

Settings is split into layers. Organization settings apply everywhere and affect everyone. Workspace settings apply to the workspace you are currently in. Email notifications are set per person. Knowing which layer you are editing saves a lot of confusion later.

This is a tour rather than a task. Each section below covers one row of the Settings page, what it does, and when you would reach for it.

Before you start

  • Admin access. Most of Settings is visible to admins only — an Editor or Viewer will see less than what is shown here.
  • Nothing to prepare. Everything in Settings is a dialog you can open, read and cancel out of.
  1. 1

    Open Settings

Settings sits at the very bottom of the left sidebar, below everything else.

The card at the top shows who you are signed in as and your role, with Profile and Logout beside it. Below that the page is grouped into sections: Organization, Workspace, Email Notifications, API and Contact.

The Tutorials button in the top corner links back to guides like this one.

Tip: Check the role badge on your own card first. If a row described here is missing, it is almost always because your role does not have access to it.

The Settings page. The signed-in email is blurred here.
  2. 2

Rename the organization or change its logo

Organization Settings opens Edit Organization, which holds two things: the organization name and its logo.

Change logo uploads a new image, and the small x on the logo removes the current one. Save only becomes available once you have actually changed something.

This is organization-wide — it is the name and logo everyone in every workspace sees.

    Edit Organization: name and logo.
  3. 3

Invite someone and pick their role

Add Admin / Editor / Viewer opens Invite Member. Pick the role first — the three cards describe what each one can do — then enter the email address and click Invite.

Admin has full control over all settings and features. Editor has full control over content and campaigns, but not the settings around them. Viewer can only view data and reports.

The invitation goes to that email address. Until they accept, they appear in the members list with a Pending status.

Tip: Default to Editor for people who make content and Viewer for stakeholders who just want the numbers. Admin should be a short list, because it includes the ability to remove other admins.

  4. 4

Change a role or remove someone

Below the invite section, Organization Members lists everyone with their email, role and status — Active for people who have accepted, Pending for invitations still outstanding. The count next to the heading is your total.

The pencil at the end of a row opens Edit Member, where you can change the role from the dropdown and click Save Role, or remove the person entirely with Remove Member.

Your own row cannot be edited — the pencil on it is greyed out, so you cannot accidentally demote or remove yourself.

Tip: Removing a member is immediate and there is no undo in this dialog. If someone is only leaving temporarily, changing them to Viewer is the reversible option.

Edit Member: change the role, or remove them.
  5. 5

    Set the redirect screen image

When someone taps one of your links, Dynamo can send them through a brief redirect screen on the way. Redirect Screen Image is where you set what that screen shows.

There are two slots, Mobile and Desktop, so the image can suit each shape. Change replaces an image and the bin icon removes it.

Separate mobile and desktop redirect images.
  6. 6

Brand your SuperLinks with a custom domain path

SuperLink Custom Domain sets the middle segment of your SuperLink URLs, between the domain and the individual link code.

The value must be 3 to 31 characters, letters, numbers, hyphens and underscores only, and it has to start with a letter or number. The dialog previews the finished shape of the URL as you type.

The custom path sits between the domain and the link code.
  7. 7

Migrate to a Business Account token

Business Account Migration upgrades your connected channels from page tokens to Facebook Business system user tokens, which Meta treats as more durable — the practical benefit is fewer authorization drop-outs.

Facebook and Instagram migrate separately, with a button each.

Tip: If you keep receiving Authorization Lost alerts, this is the row to look at before you reconnect the channel again.

Control how links open on iOS

Messenger opens links in its own internal browser, which breaks app deep links and logged-in sessions. iOS Redirect Options is how you work around that, and it offers four choices.

None changes nothing. Enforce iOS Messenger to open links in an external browser and Redirect iOS user for external browser both push the link out of the in-app browser. Use social landing page for AppsFlyer OneLink on iOS sends people to a landing page you design instead.

The two options with a gear icon beside them have their own settings. The gear next to the enforce option opens External Browser Instructions, where you choose between the Dynamo default instructions page and a custom URL of your own.

Four iOS options; two carry their own settings.

Design the iOS social landing page

The gear next to the AppsFlyer OneLink option opens Social landing page for iOS. The left pane styles two buttons — the title, background colour, font colour, font and weight for each — and the right pane holds the background image.

There are two images to supply, portrait at 1080×1920 and landscape at 1920×1080, and the previews show exactly where the buttons will sit.

Tip: Design the background around the buttons, not the other way round. The button positions are fixed, so anything important in the middle of your artwork will end up underneath them.

Button styling on the left, portrait and landscape previews on the right.
  10. 10

Control how links open on Android

Android Redirect Options is the shorter version of the same idea: None, or Enforce Android Messenger to open links in an external browser.

The enforce option has the same gear icon, opening the same External Browser Instructions choice between the Dynamo default page and a custom URL.

Android offers None or enforcing an external browser.

Rename the workspace you are in

The Workspace section applies only to the workspace you are currently in, and the badge next to the heading tells you which type it is — Community, Marketing or VIP.

Workspace Settings opens a single field for the workspace name. If you run several workspaces, this is what distinguishes them in the switcher at the top of the screen.

The workspace name, with its type shown as a badge.

Decide who gets which email alert

Email Notifications covers four alerts: Potential Trolls Alerts, Weekly Report, Authorization Lost Alerts, and Master Support Attended.

Each opens a list of your organization members with a toggle beside each one, so the setting is per person rather than per organization — you can send troll alerts to whoever moderates and the weekly report to whoever reports upward, without either receiving the other.

Save at the bottom stays greyed out until you actually change a toggle.

Tip: Worth revisiting whenever someone joins or changes role — new members do not inherit anyone else’s notification settings.

    Find your API credentials

The API section holds the API Key and API Secret your organization uses to authenticate against Dynamo’s APIs — the audience API among them.

The key is shown in full with a copy button. The secret is masked, with an eye icon to reveal it and its own copy button.

Treat both as credentials. Anyone holding them can act against your organization’s data, so copy them straight into wherever they are needed rather than into a chat or a document.

Tip: If a secret has been shared somewhere it should not have been — a screenshot, a message, a ticket — get it rotated rather than hoping it went unnoticed.

  14. 14

    Get help

The Contact section at the bottom has three outbound links: Contact Us, Chat with a Human, and Terms & Conditions. Each opens in a new tab.

That's the whole page!

Most of Settings you will touch once during setup and then forget. The rows worth revisiting are Add Admin / Editor / Viewer when someone joins or leaves, and the Email Notifications section when alerts start going to the wrong people.
