- A connected channel and the post you want to run the poll on.
- The question and the options decided, with a short keyword for each one.

Start from the Vote template
Open Superpowers, click New Superpower, and pick the Vote template. The editor opens with three columns: Superpower settings, Vote Settings, and Condition Groups.
Name it and add a Scheduler hashtag if you use them. As with a raffle, there is no "Choose end date" on the left — a vote gets its own duration in the middle column.

Set how long voting stays open
Active hours (approximately) is how many hours the poll accepts votes — 12 in this example. Voting closes once that window is up.
The word "approximately" is doing real work: treat it as a rough window rather than a precise cut-off, so avoid promising a to-the-minute closing time in your post.

Give each option its keyword
The Condition Groups column is where the options live. The template starts you with three — 1st, 2nd, and 3rd voting group — each with Include in vote switched on, which is what makes a group count as a ballot rather than an ordinary reply group.
Each group reads "Comment contains keyword (none set)" and carries a warning icon until you fill it in. Open a group with the pencil and set the keyword people should comment to pick that option. Use the copy icon to duplicate a configured group, or Add group for a fourth option.
Tip: Choose keywords that cannot be confused with each other, and put them in the post itself. "A" and "B" work better than two similar words, and Dynamo’s keyword variations will also catch near-misses.

Handle people who vote twice
Already voted — public reply is sent to users whose vote was already counted, so a second comment gets a nudge instead of a second ballot.
Keep it light — "You already voted…🙄" is the sample. This is what keeps the count honest, since it tells repeat commenters their extra votes are not landing.

Announce the result
Vote finished — auto comment is published automatically when the vote ends. The sample says what happened without publishing any numbers: "The vote is over ⌛, all the voters got a personal message with the results."
Vote ended — public replies are posted as public replies once voting closes, and can address the commenter with @[mention_user]. Add ended public reply lets you write more than one.
Tip: If you want to publish the actual tally, write it into a public reply after the vote closes rather than relying on the auto comment — that text is set in advance, before any results exist.

Create it and run it on a post
Check that every voting group has its keyword set — the warning icons should be gone — then click Create to save it to your Superpowers library.
Attach it to your poll post from that channel’s feed. Remember the note above the groups: they are checked top to bottom, so if one option’s keyword overlaps another’s, the higher group wins.
Tip: A group left on "(none set)" cannot match anything, so that option silently receives no votes. Clearing the warnings before you create is the whole check.

Your poll is ready to run!
Once voting closes, Dynamo posts the closing comment and the ended public replies on its own. Attach the superpower to a post from the channel feed, then use Insights and Analyze comments on that post to see how the options performed.
