Resize Images with the Asset Creator

Resize is a tab in the Asset Creator that takes images you already have and re-renders them at a new aspect ratio and resolution. It is the fastest way to adapt a single asset for different placements — a Story, a square feed post, or a wide banner — without generating it from scratch.

You upload one or more reference images, choose how many variations you want, set the target size and resolution, then let Dynamo produce the resized results.

Before you start

  • Access to a Dynamo workspace with the Asset Creator enabled.
  • Credits in your monthly allowance. Every organization gets 300 credits a month as standard; the counter resets to 0 at the start of each month and climbs as you generate. The Credits meter shows where your organization stands — the total is higher if you are on an Asset Creator bundle.
  • At least one image to resize — upload your own or reuse one made in the Image Creator or saved in your Library.

    Open the Resize tab

    From the left sidebar, under VIP tools, open Assets creator, then click the Resize tab at the top (next to Animation).

    The panel shows Number of Images, Image Size, Resolution, and a Credits meter. The Resize Images button stays disabled until you add at least one reference image.

    Tip: The Credits meter shows how much of your monthly allowance is left. Every organization gets 300 credits a month as standard, and the counter resets to 0 when a new month starts.

    Set the number of images, size, and resolution

    Choose how many variations to produce with Number of Images (1 to 4). More variations use more credits.

    Open Image Size to pick the target aspect ratio — 1:1 (Square), 16:9 (Wide landscape), 9:16 (Story / Reel), 4:3 and 3:4, 3:2 and 2:3, 21:9 (Ultra Widescreen), and the social sizes 4:5 and 5:4.

    Set Resolution to 1K, 2K, or 4K depending on how sharp you need the output to be.

    Tip: Match the size to where the image will be used — 9:16 for Stories and Reels, 1:1 for feed posts.

    Upload your reference images

    In the Reference Images section, click Upload to browse or drag and drop the image(s) you want to resize. You can add more than one at a time.

    Each upload appears as a thumbnail — click a thumbnail to open a full-screen preview and confirm you picked the right asset.

    Resize the images

    Once at least one reference image is added, the Resize Images button turns purple and becomes clickable. Click it to generate the resized variations at your chosen size and resolution.

    Each resize draws from your monthly credits, so keep an eye on the Credits meter as you work. Resizing is one of the cheaper Asset Creator features — an animation costs far more than an image pass — and the exact cost is shown in each tab.

    Tip: Need more than your monthly allowance? Talk to your Dynamo CS — extra capacity comes as an Asset Creator bundle added to your organization.

Your resized images are ready!

Download the variations or save them to your Library, then use each size where it fits best — 9:16 for Stories and Reels, 1:1 for feed posts, and wide ratios for banners. Re-run with a different size anytime to adapt the same asset again.
